Can you bury more that 1 casket in 1 grave site?

NO.

Can you bury additional cremains in one grave site that already contains a casket or cremains?

YES. As long as the casket is buried first, you may bury up to 8 cremains. Cost is ½ current grave site cost for each cremains burial. Also, cremains burial requires a two foot square vault.

Can a casket burial be made after a cremains burial?

No.

Can I bury the cremains myself or by someone I choose?

No. Cremains must be in a approved cremains vault and must be buried by an approved funeral home contractor.
You must contact Glade Creek Cemetery for any cremains burial.

Can the owner of a gravesite determine where within that site a cremains burial can be placed?

Yes. Some thought must be made in this process if additional cremains will be buried at the same site in the future.

Can two cremains be buried in one cremains vault?

Yes. As long as the vault is capable, and has the space for holding two cremains.

Additional Information

1. The cost of one burial site with one casket or one cremains would be at the current burial site cost. 

2. All burials with a casket need a vault and all grave openings must be handled by the funeral home with someone who is knowledgeable, bonded and insured to open the grave. 

3. Markers can only be installed by a funeral home or by a reputable monument company, and must notify Glade Creek Cemetery first and follow their guidelines for installation.

4. Any site transfer from the original owner(s) to another person needs to have the original contract and a notary signed documentation of the transfer.
